[Macau, For Immediate Release] – Grand Lisboa Hotel CESG & KOM Macau Esports Tournament, title sponsored by Grand Lisboa Hotel and jointly organised by Macau E-Sports Federation, Mario E-sport Limited, KOM Macau and A&J events planning, was successfully held last Saturday (21 April) at the Macao Convention Centre. The event brought together the strongest teams to compete for a MOP100,000 prize pool. There were also celebrity matches led by President of Macau E-Sports Federation Mr. Mario Ho and famous local artistes group Manner and Bacalhau, Cosplay performances, the First KOM eSports Girl Macau Contest, KOL tutorials, and lucky draws. In addition, the event venue comprised a diversified eSports experience area, and a food and beverage area, creating a top-notch local Macau characteristics eSports entertainment extravaganza ever.

As the first local eSports tournament held in Macau led by the General Administration of Sport of China, the tournament aimed to select the best team to represent Macau to compete in the games of FIFA18, Clash Royale, CSGO and King of Glory at the CESG National Tournament staged in Hangzhou and in other top Asian competitions.

Officiating at the opening ceremony were Mr. Liu Wei, Deputy Director General of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macau Government Tourism Office, Ms. Angela Leong, member of the Macau Legislative Assembly of the Macao SAR, Ms. Zhong Yi, Vice Chairman of the Macau Foundation Administrative Committee, Mr. Kevin Ho, Minister of Youth of the Federation of Macau China Sports General Associations, Mr. Jonas Schuermann, Managing Director of Hospitality Services of SJM, Ms. Helena Ng, Executive Director of Macao Convention Center, and Mr. Ryan Chow, Chairman of ESAHK.

After a full day of exciting competition, Nunojai, 龍龍村, Legend M, nghouseng 123, 不給冠軍就演 won the championship of Fifa18, Clash Royale, CsGo, King of Glory(1v1), King of Glory(5v5) respectively, while LOTUS won the 1st KOM Esport Girl Macau Contest and will represent KOM for promoting eSport and eSport culture.
